The Passion, The Spark, The Legacy

Our theme, “Legacy” is our attempt to both showcase and honor the passion, vision and innovation that influencers have used (and will use) to shape this industry into what it is today, and to continue to thrive tomorrow.

Here’s some quick math for you: I’m a regular blood donor, giving roughly 1 pint of blood (1/9th of my total supply) every two months. After working at HARDI for almost 8 years, I’ve lost 48 pints of blood. And since humans (remarkable creatures) can generate a new blood supply to replace what is lost, I’m a whole new person, 5 times over.

That unusual (and probably not fact-checked) biology lesson brings me to this:

When people say this industry courses through their veins, I believe it, because I’ve slowly been experiencing it myself as the months, years and blood donations go by and it’s less about “your” industry and much more about “ours.” But, it’s never been clearer that our blood courses with HVAC than having the opportunity to work on our Annual Conference this year. Let me tell you, there is passion here, and we fully intend to celebrate it.

There is passion here, and we full intend to celebrate it.

Our theme, “Legacy” is our attempt to both showcase and honor the passion, vision and innovation that influencers have used (and will use) to shape this industry into what it is today, and to continue to thrive tomorrow.

How will Legacy be different than past conferences? Simply put, Legacy will look both inward and outward. Legacy will look backward and forward. And Legacy will feature storytelling — be it from expert speakers, our councils, our young leaders, contractors and of course some of the biggest names in this industry. We’ll be showcasing usage of new technology, and even give you the opportunity to have your own virtual reality experience. We’ll have sessions for you to engage with your peers on common issues and best practices. And you can always count on us to infuse our conference with the latest information on our political, economic and business landscape.

Legacy is about you, your business, employees, and your future.

I think we could lengthen our conference by three or four days and still have ideas, stories, companies and people we want to showcase but we just don’t have time to do it. My advice to you is to come ready to listen and participate, plan your time in advance, and ensure you’ve got enough folks present to capture all the advice and takeaways that our members and experts and going to generously share.

After all, Legacy is about you, your business, employees, and your future. It’s about infusing your passion for this industry into the veins of those who will influence it next.

Our team couldn’t be more excited to see you in Austin. The first pickle juice shot is on me!
